Posted by FlawlessBitch on July 2, 2012 at 1:40 AM Comments comments (4)

VIZ Media announced early this week that they have plans to create a 24-hour anime channel titled Neon Alley. The new channel will be debuting on game consoles this fall and will be available in the U.S. and Canada. Neon Alley will be subscription-based and will be presented with limited commercial advertising. The new channel will be $6.99 a month. (ssshiet, I'm already paying Hulu+ around the same price, and you expect me to do the same with this? Kiss my ass!). It's set to provide a variety of anime uncut, dubbed into English and presented in HD (when available). Programming will include Naruto Shippuden, InuYasha: the Final Act, Death Note, Tiger & Bunny, Berserk: the Golden Age Arc, Zetman, Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan and more. Original content such as behind-the-scenes and news will be provided as well.

As apart of the Neon Alley partnership, Aniplex USA announced at their Anime Expo panel that Blue Exorcist will be dubbed and will be completed in September in time for the launch of the new service. Neon Alley is not an on-demand service. Rather, it will be similar to a television channel, airing a feed of shows at certain times of the day. The service will launch on game consoles connect to the Internet this Fall. It’s unclear as to what console(s) the service will launch on at this point in time, but if they wanna make money and viewership, they better make it all three.

Deadman Wonderland Review

I wonder who he's flippin off. Maybe it's me and he just read this review.

Since Adult Swim brought back Toonami, I thought I'd checked out one of their new animes, Deadman Wonderland. Just saw the first episode online and it really wasn't what I was expecting. The episode starts off with the typical, cliche, high school setting of most Japanese anime. An effeminate boy, Ganta is sitting in class when he notices a floating monster in the window. His classmates are all killed by this monster and he becomes the sole surviver and the prime suspect in the massacre of his classmates. That's when I start to realize this might actually be good. A few minutes later, I realize this might actually turn out to be crap. Ganta is sentenced to death and is transferred to a co-ed privitized prison called Deadman Wonderland. Deadman Wonderland is also a theme park and major tourist attraction run by the prisoners. Apparantly, the guy who wrote the manga thought it would be a genius idea to make the prison warden a hot girl with big boobs. Not only that, he made the prison co-ed. Maybe he wants someone to make a hentai adaptation of his work. Or it could just be fan service.

What the hell is going on? Why won't any of you people listen to me.- Ganta

In the real world, most prison wardens are 40-60 year old, fat, balding men. Co-ed prisons are rare and and also a really bad idea. Don't ask why. They just are. Within the prison, Ganta bonds with a mysterious girl. Sound familiar? Yes, it should since this happens in almost every shonen anime. The boy always bonds with the mysterious girl. The girl's name is Shiro and the two of them get picked on by a bunch of thugs. Maybe those thugs were going to rape Ganta. Happens in prisons all the time. Afterwards, A large object falls toward Ganta and Shiro. Ganta discovers he has "special" powers and uses these to save both Shiro and himself. Just like every single shonen anime hero, Ganta learns that he is "special". Yes, he is SPECIAL. What's with all the cliches? Can anyone think of something original? Interesting premise but it ultimately falls flat. Judging from the first episode, Deadman Wonderland will be another typical shonen anime with slowly paced, long fight scenes. You know like Bleach, DBZ, Naruto, etc. Not saying that it's a bad thing but Deadman Wonderland could have been something more.

Hi, I'm the warden of Deadman Wonderland and I got big boobs. Look!! Look at them!!

As for the voice acting, it's terrible. Then again, voice acting for most dub anime is atrocious. You'll recognize many familiar voices, since all dubbed anime are dubbed by the exact same 7 or 8 voice actors. I haven't seen the subbed version, which I assume has far superior voice work. The animation, on the other had, is superb. The art style isn't very original but the animation is nice and crisp. Will I be watching episode 2? Probably not. There are better ways to spend my afternoons such as playing real life frogger. Yeah, it's dangerous but also loads of fun.

Pros: Great animation. Dark Story.

Cons: Many cliches. Poor voice acting.

Story: 7

Animation: 9

Voice Acting: 5

7 Decent (all scorces out of 10)

A New Naruto Social Network Game.....Oh, and Toonami is Back

Posted by FlawlessBitch on May 28, 2012 at 4:50 PM Comments comments (3)

GREE, one of Japan's largest mobile phone game platforms and social networking service, has announced that it will be offering the first Naruto-based social card game Naruto x GREE. It will be under Namco Bandai Games and an English version would be available later on. The way you would play it is the users will collect ninja info cards and can take on missions and regularly held challenges to raise their skills and levels. Players can also join forces and form ninja teams and defeat enemies.

GREE will release Naruto X GREE for feature phones in June. The game is slated for release on smartphones (Android 2.2+ and iOS) sometime this summer. Like most social games, it's free to play, but some items that are used in the game will cost real money. Since there is already a One Piece game, there's probably gonna be a Dragon ball one too.

And I'm hoping it is here to stay. On April 1, 2012, just past Toonami's 15th anniversary, Adult Swim, which generally changes its programming for April Fools' Day, began to play The Room (as they had done the past several years). The scene then switched to T.O.M. (in his third incarnation) aboard the Absolution, greeting the viewers while commenting that it is April Fools' Day, before introducing that week's scheduled episode of Bleach. The Toonami-related programming and bumpers continued throughout the night, featuring Dragon Ball Z, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing, Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki, Outlaw Star, Big O, YuYu Hakusho, Blue Submarine No. 6, Trigun, Astro Boy, and Gigantor. T.O.M. also presented a review of Mass Effect 3 and promoted the recent DVD releases of the series featured. The day after they posted a tweet "Want it back? Let us know. #BringBackToonami" A couple days later, Adult Swim followed up this tweet with one stating, "#BringBackToonami We've heard you. Thank you for your passion and interest - stay tuned."  Then finally on May 16, Adult Swim posted a message on Facebook announcing that Toonami would return on May 26, with a similar message on Twitter, ending with #ToonamisBackBitches. The network issued a press release later that day confirming the block's revival as a Saturday late night anime block. Toonami made its return with all new bumpers and updated animation of T.O.M.'s third incarnation. The new midnight timeslot of the block has more mature themes than its predecessors. The current lineup imports Adult Swim's anime and adds two new shows, Deadman Wonderland and Casshern Sins.

I seriously done 3 back flips, five random TaeKwon-do moves, and kissed a random guy on the street when I heard they were really going to bring it back.

I got a little upset when there were only 6 shows (four that's already from on Adult Swim, big whoop) in the block and other star, Sara, wasn't there. The show line-up currently as:

  • Bleach
  • Casshern Sins
  • Cowboy Bebop
  • Deadman Wonderland
  • Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood
  • Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2nd GIG

Since it been nearly four years it been canceled, I'm at least humbled that it actually been revived. Hopefully it will stay running for a while, then they'll probably bring back the things that made Toonami how it is now.

AFTERSCHOOL's Japanese PV 'Lady Luck' Has Shown!...Shown Dullness....

Posted by FlawlessBitch on May 21, 2012 at 7:50 PM Comments comments (2)

So my girls After School will be releasing their fourth Japanese single 'Lady Luck/Dilly Dally' on June 13th. It's the theme for Samantha Thavasa All Stars. It's a cheesy, cutesy-type song that gives you glitter and diabetes as you listen to it, yet it's upbeat and turns your frown to a confused or awkward one. As for the PV, it's pretty basic, not really spontaneous nor cinematic....honestly for me, it's pretty boring and cheap. Whoever produced this must be in a hurry, or didn't give a rat's ass and wanted to wrap it up. The girls' apathetic attitudes didn't help it either.

At some parts they give a little smile here and there and some simple dance steps.....that's pretty much it.

WHAT. THE. HEEEELL? Cheap ass bastards at their best. Throughout the video you can't help but to notice *rolls eyes* the painted fucking oil drums in the whole damn thing. You sure this is for Samantha Thavasa, or British Petroleum? I HOPE THIS MEANS THE GAS PRICES WILL GO DOWN!

Slap this on there, and you got profit!

Every now and then in the vid, they sit in a circle giving me more blandness like they waiting for a bus. They seem not to be enjoying it either:

"Yeeeeah, dis da purrse right hur...whateva.."

Nana: "Are we done with this bullshit yet?"

This isn't the After School I know and love. I pretty much blame the production and whoever was involved in this funeral of a PV. The song supposed to match with the atmosphere, but everything looks dull and forced. This is a promotional for handbags and whatever the bag/clothing designers are selling for fuck's sake. They're not making me want to buy what they're trying to promote. They should be doing slo-mo jumps, striking poses of the clothes, the purses,......with the oil drums. This is a "tsk tsk tsk" for me.

Larry Page and Sergay Brin (founders of Google Inc.)

5)  They take  months to fix known issues: This one is self explanatory.

AKB48's Oshima Yuko makes men want to LOOK like her

Posted by FlawlessBitch on May 18, 2012 at 6:30 PM Comments comments (1)

I don't know if its just me or isn't this kinda fucked up to you? Takasu Clinic did a poll for men asking which idol/celebrity they wanted to look like when getting "work" done. These are the people that came into mind the most:

1. HYDE (L’arc en ciel)

2. Yamashita Tomohisa

3. Miura Shohei

5. Sakurai Sho (Arashi)

6. Mizushima Hiro

7. Okada Junichi

8. Sato Ayumu (Men’s EGG model)

9. Yamada Ryosuke (Hey!Say!Jump!)

10. Kamenashi Kazuya (KAT-TUN)

11. Fukuyama Masaharu

13. Aiba Masaki (Arashi)

14. Miura Haruma

15. Kimura Takuya (SMAP)

16. Narimiya Hiroki

17. Ichihara Hayato

18. Ikuta Toma

19. Mukai Osamu

20. Matsuda Shota

21. Koike Teppei

22. Jaejoong

23. Sato Takeru

24. Oshima Yuko (AKB48)

25. Tsumabuki Satoshi

Then I thought to myself, "maybe they had a number of guys who were transgendered", if that's so, she wouldn't be the only female. -sigh- If compare her to some..okay, a lot of the Japanese male stars out there, most of them would make a hot ass chick. But at the same time, it makes Oshima seem like she' of the handsome ones. For me, I find it shocking since she's very pretty and has a face I'd kill for. After this poll been brought up, it made me feel really sad. But look at her!

It would hurt me to see the sight ot her reaction if she knew about this. Pretty girl, delicate features, likeable, a great FEMALE! Maybe those guys was either being funny, or couldn't no longer stand of roaming around being the gender they was born of.

Then all of the sudden, BAM!

I looked up some more pics of her including back when she debuted,....I can see more clearly now why

Well,.......she has a versatile look to her, that's for sure. I still think she cute tho.

***Warning: The Following Squabble Contains Explicit Content***

On a peacful late afternoon in Pallet Town...

Ash: Hey Gary! What's up?

Gary: Haha Ashley!! Is that you? You are one ugly mother******. It's no wonder you can't get a girlfriend that isn't your mom.

Ash: My girlfriend is your mom, in case you didn't know, stupid. I'm going to do her tonight just like I do every single night.

Gary: Ewww! You want to do my mom? Why?? So you can show her how small your dick is.

Ash: My dick is huge. Your mom loves it anally. So shut the **** up bitch!!

Gary: Stop sharing your wet dreams with me. It's ****ing disgusting. You need help. Go see a doctor

Ash: My dick is King Kong and yours is a ding dong.  Admit it. You're jealous.

Gary: Stop talking about your dick. Sorry man but I'm straight. The gay bar is down the street. I'm sure you'll find your soul mate down there. Your disses suck. Give it up already. I won. End of discussion.

Ash: Just shut the **** up. I'm not ****** gay. You're the homo. You go touch yourself  with a fat chick licking your tiny dick. Don't diss me again or I'll kick your ***. You picked the wrong guy to mess with. You're nothing but a big bully. Do the world a favor and kill yourself. Got that geek boy?

Gary: Sounds like you need to change your tampon. AHAHA!!! You mad bro!! You mad. Just look at yourself man. You're losing your cool. As I said already, give it up. I won already.

Ash's mother: Dinner's ready!!

Ash: I'm outta here. I don't got time to argue with little kids. Unlike you, I have a life. See ya later Ash Ketchum hater!

Gary: Loser!! HAHAHAHA!! Got scared? C'mon, get back over here and let me tease you some more!!!. HAHA!!! This is so much fun!!! Looks like little Ashley got scared and ran off to mommy. Wow! That was quick. I didn't think that wuss would run away that fast. I guess I won this battle. Let's give it up for the champ one more time.

Upcoming stuff: "K"

So, I've been hearing and reading about this anime from a couple of birdies I've been going to now, and after seeing the second trailer, I'm honestly shitting out frustration and anxiety to see the series. Also they finally revealed the cast members as well:

Daisuke Namikawa as Yashiro Isana

Tomokazu Sugita as Reiji Munakata

Mikako Komatsu as Neko

I guess she wanted to reveal dat ass too

Kenjiro Tsuda as Mikoto Suoh

Daisuke Ono as Kuroh Yatogami

                             He's cute

Mamoru Miyano as Saruhiko Fushimi

Miyuki Sawashiro as Seri Awashima

                              ....Show off

Yui Horie as Anna Kushina

                                      I WANT DAT DRESS!

Takahiro Sakurai as Izumo Kusanagi

Jun Fukuyama as Misaki Yata

Dude look like my weed dealer...speaking of 'im, that bitch owe me change too!

Yūichi Nakamura as Rikio Kamamoto

Angela (also did Heroic Age, Fafner, Asura Cryin' themes) will do the theme song for the anime. The GoRA Project, who is creating this greatness in the making teamed up with GoHands, and Gou Nakanishi (produced Fafner, Asura Cryin', and music produced the Love Hina Spring and X'mas specials "I wish Your Dream" and "Silent Eye") is going to get in on this action too. The animation is so crisp, yet still clueless on what the show going to be entirely about (Esp on the 2nd trailer with all those random ass clips of buildings and a bed in a cabin(?) semingly looks like it been pissed on)

Any hypothesis about the show and/or curiosity of seeing it?
